Drone Flying near Airports - needs planning! 16 September 2021 All major airports in the UK are covered with a FRZ (Flight Restricted Zone) and Birmingham Airport as one of the busiest UK airports is no exception. In addition most drones will be prevented from taking off when in these zones due to 'geofencing' software restrictions. So today at only 3km from Birmingham Airport and in their Authorization Zone a fair amount of planning was behind this straight forward shot of Quartz Point.
